At
the
same

of
the
intentness

she
observed
him
and
his
gestures

seriousness

which
she
appeared
to
take
all

he

felt

nervous

quite
searching
and
penetrating

glance

she
fell

she

seemed

anxious

obtain

keep

worked

Clyde

Roberta

working

whispered

says
she
'll

she
lifted

eyebrows

compressed

lips

friend
replied

softly
that
