each

with

swelled
to
a
beak-like
protuberance
that
resembled

shrank
to
the
size
of
a
button
mushroom
and
then
sprouted
a
great
deal
of
hair
from
each
nostril

Apparently
this
was
a
regular
mealtime
entertainment

and

soon
requesting

favourite
noses
.
